Project-Based Learning (PBL) Classrooms are intended for courses that use in-class collaboration as an integral part of the pedagogy. PBLs seat between 50-100 students. They have group tables for 6-8 person tables with computer screens, portable whiteboards, and moveable chairs. The sound system enables the instructor to move freely around the classroom and/or work with individual teams. There are 3 PBL classrooms currently in operation, with 3 more being built in the Interactive Learning Pavilion.

All faculty scheduled in PBLs are invited to participate in Instructional Development's PBL training in the weeks leading up to each quarter. Please complete the request form below to request a project based learning classroom:
